Description
AYURVEDA ABHYANGA MASSAGE comes from the philosophy of life of ancient India. The word Ayurveda is derived from Sanskrit and means “Ayu” (duration of life) and “Veda” (truth or knowledge); and is translated as knowledge of lasting life or science of life. Ayurveda is the oldest known medical science in the world, influencing all other measurements. Firstly, it is based on three principles that make it unique: tradition, respect and spirituality. Secondly, it conceives of body, mind and spirit as a whole. It has a holistic vision of the being. Each being is unique and the treatment is personalised on the basis of their genetics or mahabhutas (five elements); the combination of these elements will give rise to the vital energies that make up each individual: vata, pitta and kappa. Ayurvedic treatments are usually relaxing, pleasant and enjoyable, with “no pain” predominating.
RELAX YOUR HEAD
Champi Massage is an Indian massage, with the application of oils in circular movements on the upper back, chest, neck, head and face. When the body is under the influence of stress, it tends to clench the jaw, raise the shoulders and breathe thoracic. The body will lose its natural alignment. On the other hand, the muscles tighten and the joints lose their natural mobility and become stiffer. The head is one of the most important parts of our body, as it contains all the sense organs. Eyes, ears, part of the skin, the nose and the tongue. Hence the importance and repercussion of the Champi massage on the whole body, channelling the correct functioning of the senses. This is why it is basically a relaxation massage, which is usually applied in cases of anxiety, worry and exhaustion, both physical and mental.
A calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence.
WHAT AN AYURVEDA ABHYANGA MASSAGE SESSION IS LIKE:
The massage will be done on a massage table or futon. We use warm vegetable oils to relax the shoulders, chest, neck and scalp, as well as the face. We also incorporate essential oils to enhance their effects on the person. We spread the oil through soft superficial manipulations, to which we add circular rubbing manipulations, friction, pressure and percussion, as well as hair traction and the laying on of hands. After the massage, it is recommended to keep the oil on the body until it has been absorbed, in order to benefit from and enhance the nourishing effects of the oil. After the massage, the person will feel a very pleasant sensation of peace, tranquillity and well-being.
