Description
The KINESIOTAPE session is a therapeutic service that uses adhesive elastic tapes to provide support and stability to muscles and joints, as well as to facilitate the healing process of musculoskeletal injuries. This technique is based on the principle that muscle movement and function can be improved by the appropriate application of elastic tapes to the skin.
The right balance must be sought in movement and not in stillness
WHAT IS AN OSTEOPATHY SESSION LIKE?:
Before the session begins, an initial assessment of the client is conducted to identify the specific area of injury or musculoskeletal dysfunction to be treated. Personal history is reviewed, movement tests are performed and the extent of pain and functional limitation is assessed. The skin in the area of action is cleaned and dried to ensure optimal adherence of the kinesiology tapes and to prevent skin irritation. The therapist uses specific kinesiology tapingtechniques to provide support, stability and facilitate movement in the affected area. The tapes are applied in a precise and strategic manner, following specific muscle and joint patterns. Instructions are provided to the patient on how to care for and maintain the kinesiology tapes between sessions, as well as the recommended duration of use. During follow-up sessions, adjustments are made to the application of the tapes as needed to ensure their continued effectiveness and to address any changes in the patient’s condition.
